JORDAN TURNAGE | GARDEN MANAGER, CULTIVATION TEAM

What’s your favorite kind of food?

I love seafood and all types of it. Living in California we have so many great, fresh-caught options. I love to grill salmon or halibut, throw a bunch of seafood together in pasta or grab some light fish to make tacos. 🌮

What was your first job?

During high school, I worked for a local seafood restaurant in Lafayette, LA. My job there was to boil crawfish and lots of it! That is probably where my love for seafood comes from. ðŸ¦žðŸ¦€ðŸ¦

What’s your favorite book? Movie?

My all-time favorite book is definitely The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. Don’t really have a favorite movie–I like all kinds.

What’s on your bucket list?

It would be incredible to see Aurora Borealis (aka the Northern Lights). So at one point in my life, I will need to pack my bags and take a trip to the Arctic Circle to experience it. I can’t wait!

Red or black licorice?

Red for sure.

A typical weekend for me is…

On weekends, I try to get away as much as I can and travel to different places to rock climb. I also catch up on reading, play a little guitar, ride my motorcycle and sometimes head to the farm to work–it’s one of my favorite places to be. 🎸🏍

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

I would love to meet John Muir and go saunter in the woods with him.

How do you relax after a hard day’s work?

The best way for me to relax after work is to soak in the hot springs. I am lucky to live near an area known for having some of the oldest hot springs in California.

What is one thing people don’t know about you?

Reading is one of my loves. I probably read 15-20 books a year. My go-to genres range from fantasy and adventure to history and memoirs. Truly anything I can escape into!

What are you looking forward to in the coming months?

Growing big beautiful cannabis plants on our farm in Lake County. It’s kinda like raising children (from what I hear)–once you plant the seeds, watching them grow is such a cool experience. You give them as much tender loving care as possible.

What’s your preferred type of cannabis product?

Flower.

What’s your favorite strain?

Lemon Sour Diesel.

Where do you see the cannabis industry in the next 5 years? 10 years?

Booming! The cannabis community is a strong group of companies and people, and together, I believe we will be able to accomplish amazing things for our industry.

Describe your typical day at fumé.

What I love about my job is that every day is different. Farming and growing cannabis keep you on your toes.

What’s your favorite thing about working at fumé?

Our farm in Lake County is gorgeous and I feel incredibly blessed that I get to step foot into this work environment every day. Not only is it a beautiful place to work, but I also get to work with an amazing cultivation team that all work hard to grow high-quality cannabis for our customers across California.
