Righting the wrongs of the past

We are partnering with Last Prisoner Project to free people who are currently incarcerated for a drug that is no longer illegal.

Our mission is to grow a brighter future for cannabis and to leave the world better than we found it. Core to this mission is to right the wrongs of the past—a past when cannabis was a crime. A past that is unfortunately never fully in the past for so many of those affected by the criminalization of marijuana—because their criminal history hurts their ability to get jobs, qualify for loans, and provide for their families long after their time is served.

Since day one, we have supported cannabis criminalization reform and fought for justice. And we won’t stop until all are free. We partner with organizations working to free incarcerated nonviolent cannabis prisoners and help get them back into their communities.

As a Second Chance Employer, we are proud to hire individuals with nonviolent cannabis records, giving them the opportunity to provide for their families and thrive in their communities.

Watch: The Last Prisoner Project

Marijuana criminalization has disproportionately affected BIPOC communities and is a direct and significant contributor to the systemic racial injustices that have inspired today’s nationwide protests and marches.

"We are passionate about supporting social justice reforms, including expungement of criminal records for everyone who has served or is still serving time for an activity that is now legal.

Managing Director, Last Prisoner Project

We are proud to partner with Last Prisoner Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Denver, Colorado, in support of their mission to get all nonviolent cannabis prisoners released and returned to their communities as thriving, contributing members. The Last Prisoner Project (LPP) is an advocacy organization made up of cannabis industry leaders, executives, and artists dedicated to making sure that every cannabis prisoner is released, welcomed home, and supported by their community.

LPP focuses on three key criminal justice reform initiatives: prisoner release, record clearing through clemency and expungement, and re-entry programs. Collectively these programs help cannabis prisoners become “fully free.” As part of our partnership, we will work with LPP to provide the support and resources needed to help these individuals get back into the job market and stay on track.
